This set just arrived and it is very nice for the price! The size of the pieces is great. I bought it for my daughter's 12th birthday, but it would be great for an adult too. It is big enough, but no so big that is looks gawdy (sp?). The chain is of decent gauge for the pendant, although some may prefer a heavier chain. It isn't the real thin type of chain that usually comes in a pendant set, it is a decent chain. The Amethysts are gorgeous. They are nice and dark and all the same color on each piece. They are really nice sized too. The silver is perfect and polished and shiny. I couldn't ask for more at this price point. I didn't notice a single flaw in any of the pieces. Don't be fooled into thinking this is a dainty set, it is very nice sized and perfect for adults.
The set comes with a very cute gift box that has ribbon attached and a bow with a rosebud on it. The box, ribbon and rosebud are black. Each piece comes inside a small jewelry baggy inside a light purple meshy (organza?)drawstring bag. You can assemble the pieces inside the gift box then. The set is just gorgeous
I would definitely recommend this for tenns/tweens or adults. The pendant is about the length of my pinky and the earrings are only slightly shorter. It is perfect sizing for all ages. If they made this set in sapphire stones I would buy it for myself in a heartbeat! I am VERY happy with this purchase and I know my daughter will love it!
