I bought three sets of these for my bridesmaids. I have the brown set that I love so much but when they came in they were much lighter than I expected, so I expected the red set to be about the same but they were much darker than what the picture shows. They are almost a burgundy or purple shade. Because the bridesmaids are wearing a small amount of red (just a sash around the waist) the color difference isn't too bad so they will still use them.
